LAGUNA LEGACY TOURNAMENT - SEPT 11, 2010 - California

Previous

Description
The OC Spearos are hosting the Laguna Legacy Tournament on September 11, 2010 at Aliso Beach in Laguna Beach, California. Due to the MLPA’s, this will most likely be the last tournament held in Laguna Beach and we are expecting a large turn out. To help fight the MLPA’s, the OC Spearos are donating half of the proceeds to the Watermen’s Alliance who fight to keep our fishing grounds open.

All spearfishing clubs are invited to participate as well as anyone else who wants to join in the fun. This is an open tournament and an opportunity for people to enjoy what Laguna Beach has to offer - one last time.

The tournament will be a three fish contest and will be follow the Nationals spearfishing rules, but will be in the scramble format. Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and a great raffle afterward.

All registrants are to sign in by 8:00am and the weigh in will start at 1pm and all fish must be in the weigh in circle by 1:45pm.

You can download a registration form from http://ocspearos.org/subpages/tournaments.html.

Registration fees are $45 for club affiliated divers and $55 for all other divers. OC Spearos members receive a discounted rate. Registration will include a tournament t-shirt, Kosher all beef hot dog, chips, soda and 5 Raffle tickets
.
Additional raffle tickets will be available for $1. Anyone can buy the raffle tickets. Remember that half of the proceeds will go to the Watermen's Alliance.

You're definitely not going to want to miss this tournament.
